I am extremely proud to announce that I have been awarded the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERCM certification. This qualification is the only globally recognised accreditation for financial planners. It is held by just over 1,017 financial advisers in the UK (as at 25 January 2016). This represents around 3% of practicing financial advisers.
Becoming a CFPCM professional is a rigorous undertaking. The assessment and learning process represent a significant challenge, which is why the CFPCM is so highly respected as an international standard. The relative low number of CFPCM professionals is testament to the high standards. The assessment is a test of both technical expertise and vocational skills.
As well as the examination standards, to be awarded the CFPCM certification requires meeting certain relevant work experience, agreeing to the code of ethics and practice standards as well as signing up to a substantial Continuous Professional Development (CPD) schedule.
Personally, I am so proud to be a member of this elite group. When combined with my Chartered status, this puts me as one of the highest qualified financial planners in the UK.
