FAQs

Your first meeting

Where are meetings held?

As a general rule, all meetings are held at our Bedfordshire office. On rare occasions, we may consider a different venue if there is a compelling reason.

Do I have to pay for an initial meeting?

No. We are happy to offer the first meeting at our expense to establish whether we can add sufficient value to your situation and whether we think we would be a good fit to work together.

How can I book an initial meeting?

Either call the office on 01234 853 395 or email us via mail@clearvisionfp.co.uk. You can also fill out our contact form and a member of the team will be in touch.

Do you have parking?

We are based in Rushey Ford Business Park, where you will find plenty of space to park just metres from our office. If you would like directions to our office, you can find them on our contact page.

Do I have to sign up to your services at an initial meeting?

There is no obligation to sign up to any of our services at the initial meeting. Both parties need time to decide whether or not a working relationship is the right fit.

Our services

Are you regulated?

Yes, we are directly authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). You can find our entry on the FCA register here.

What do you charge for a financial plan?

The amount we charge for a financial plan will depend on the anticipated time spent and the complexity of your situation. It typically ranges from £1,500 to £3,000.

Do you get commission?

No, we are only paid by our clients. This removes a potential conflict of interest. We can work on a commission basis for certain insurances if requested to. However, we will always explore the potential downsides of working on a commission basis for insurance versus a fixed fee approach.

Do you charge VAT?

No. At the moment, we are not VAT registered. If this changes, we will let you know.

Are you independent?

We are indeed. We are therefore able to offer recommendations from the whole of the market. Not only that, but we are independently owned by the directors in the business and directly authorised. This means we have no outside interests driving our decisions. The only people who have influence over our business is you: our clients. This means we can genuinely focus on fulfilling your life goals.

What happens if Matthew is away on holiday?

If Matthew is on holiday, our clients will generally be informed of this. All urgent work will have been dealt with. If you call, someone will take your message. All messages and emails will be answered on Matthew’s return.

Do you take a percentage or are your fees fixed?

We work on both percentage and a fixed fee basis. Prior to engaging us, we will ensure that you understand the fees we will charge, when they will be charged and what they cover. We believe this transparent and open approach is essential to a long-term relationship built on trust. Whichever basis we proceed on, we will look to show you the value we will add.
