For many people the new year is traditionally a time to reassess their life, consider goals and make plans for the coming 12 months. I am no different and, during the period between Christmas and New Year I took a step back to reassess and set some goals for 2018.
These included some personal goals which included getting fitter (I’ve prioritised running) and looking at Clear Vision FP, what we have achieved and what we would like the company to achieve in 2018.
In assessing where we are as a company, I can’t help but be happy. It is now 6 years since myself and Sandra set up the company. In that time, we have grown steadily and I am very proud of the work we do helping our clients to manage their money in line with their life goals and bringing clarity, financial security and peace of mind.
One of our goals for this year is to continue assessing and improving our service to our clients. This ensures that we continue to deliver genuine added value in the advice and relationship we provide. This is a goal we have every year, but it makes it no less important.
A new goal we have for 2018 is to find a great new office environment for the company. The reasoning behind this is to achieve 2 things. Firstly, it would give us a comfortable and professional environment to host our client’s annual planning meetings that is set up specifically for this purpose. Secondly, it gives us the capacity to grow the back office team. As a growing business, this feels like the next step.
We also have the goal of adding between 8 and 12 new long-term client relationships. This is higher than previous years, however, between referrals from existing clients, referrals from professional connections and enquiries from other places (e.g. online search directories), I am confident that we can achieve this and add to the number of clients we can help.
On that basis, if you do know anyone you feel may benefit from what we do, please do let me know. I’m happy to have an initial chat to see if we can of benefit to them.
What are your plans for 2018? We would love to hear them…
