What will you do in 2017?

Christmas is an ideal time to take a step back from the crazy business of your day to day life; refresh, spend time with family, reflect on 2016 and plan for 2017.

  • What do you want to do in the next 12 months?
  • What haven’t you done that you wish you did?

Perhaps it’s an experience, the trip of a lifetime. Perhaps it’s spending more time doing things you enjoy. Perhaps it’s spending less time doing things you don’t enjoy. Perhaps it’s just spending more time with loved ones.

Whatever it is, write it down and make it a goal for 2017. We have a habit in our house of writing out goals for the next year; both personal and business related, and putting it away with the Christmas decorations. It’s a nice feeling to get the list out in December and tick off the ones achieved, and laugh about those that were forgotten!

So, what are my goals? Professionally, I would like the business to continue growing, going from strength to strength and taking on more clients we can help both now and in the years to come. I also would like to continue making a difference to the lives of everyone we touch, whether they become a client or not.

On a personal level, I want to continue creating fantastic memories with my young children and my wife. I’d also like to find a little more time for golf (this one never seems to happen!)

Whatever your goals are, please feel free to share them with us. It would be great if we can help you achieve them.

A Rising Star…

In other news, I was recently named as one of Citywire’s top 35 ‘Rising Stars’ in the profession. This is an achievement I am particularly proud of as it means I have been judged as one of the brightest young advisers based on experience and qualifications, even if I did just skim under the age cut off!

Christmas Closure

We are closing for the festive period between Thursday 22 December 2016 and Tuesday 3 January 2017.

Lastly, I would just like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a fantastic 2017.
